The Eagle 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run
Covenant Christian School will be hosting The Eagle Run on May 18th. There will be a 5k and a 1 mile fun run to participate in. Both races are certified and will begin and finish at Covenant Christian School.
Marines Helping Marines Golf Tournament
The third annual Marines Helping Marines 4 Man Scramble Tournament will be on May 18th, 2024. This tournament benefits all veterans and the Conley Detachment #1477.
Arts Alive Festival 2024
This year’s Arts Alive Festival will be May 18-19. The annual Arts Alive juried fine arts and crafts festival is located in downtown Florence, Alabama. Admission is free!
Paws & Pages Adoption Event

Colbert County Schools Car Show
Colbert County School System is having a car show this Saturday the 18th from 10 am - 2 pm.
The Village School Foundation Benefit Concert
Visit The Village School Foundation for an evening of Roots-Rock, Blues, and Americana. The Village School Foundation is having a benefit concert on May 18 & 19 featuring the Gretchen Emery Band and The Dirty Rain Revelers.
Good Stand Up Comedy with Dan Alten
Good Stand Up Comedy with Dan Alten and friends will be at the Lava Room in Downtown Florence on Tuesday, May 21 at 8pm. Entry is $10.
Alabama Jubilee Arts and Crafts Show
The Alabama Jubilee Arts and Crafts show will be at Point Mallard Park in Decatur on Memorial Weekend, May 25-26. There will be artists and crafters from all around, exhibiting and selling their handcrafted works.
5th Annual May Day Music Fest
The 5th Annual May Day Music Fest will be at McFarland Park on May 25th & 26th. There will be a line up of live music all day long on both days. There will also be food and drink vendors and a car and bike show.
Royal Avenue Swimming Pool Opening Day
The Royal Avenue Swimming Pool and River Heritage Splash Pad will open on Saturday, May 25th for the 2024 summer season.
Remembering Our Veterans Through Music
On May 26, there will be a music event in honor of our veterans. It begins at 3pm at River Heritage Park Amphitheater behind the Florence Marriott.
Tennis Camp
There will be a Tennis Camp by Clay Mize and Kaizen Tennis for ages 8-13 at the Royal Ave Courts on May 27-31.
6th Annual Food Truck Festival
Food Truck Festival 2024 will be on June 1st, 6:30pm-8:30pm. This event is family-friendly so bring the whole crew and support the Children’s Museum of the Shoals.

Night Moves June Market

There will be a dinosaur camp at Shoals Educational Enrichment Resources on July 2nd and 3rd for children ages 3-9. This two-day camp is all about dinosaurs, fossils and famous paleontologists!
Back to Homeschool Bash
Shoals Educational Enrichment Resources presents the Back to Homeschool Bash. They are seeking the best local resources for homeschooling in the Shoals and bringing them all to one place. This event will take place on August 10, from 10am-2pm at Pickett Place in downtown Florence.
Jeepin' the Saloon

Florence Historic Walking Tours: Forks of Cypress
The Forks of Cypress Plantation was one of the oldest antebellum mansions in Alabama. It was built in 1822 by James Jackson, one of the first settlers in Lauderdale County and a friend of Andrew Jackson. Bring your lawn chairs for the beginning portion of the tour.
Rock the Trace: Cinco de Mayo Celebration
Rock the Trace Cinco de Mayo Celebration will be at the Natchez Trace Harley-Davidson on May 4. There will be live music performed by Crossroads. Barbecue will be available by Dude’s Mobile Catering.
